Bad Faith is two shows in one: it's a panel show about politics and pop culture with a rotating cast of performers and politicians, artists and activists, writers and radicals; and it's a two-way podcast where two people from two very different parts of the left make the case for one less terrible world.

Briahna Joy Gray (@briebriejoy) is a former attorney, National Press Secretary for the Bernie Sanders campaign, co-host of campaign podcast Hear The Bern, and a journalist who is early enough in her political career that she remains (tragically) sanguine.

Virgil Texas (@virgiltexas) is an internet user and co-host of Chapo Trap House.

Is this just another oil war? This week, Briahna interviews Intercept national security reporter Ken Klippenstein & Daily Poster founder David Sirota about how energy and climate policy play a role in the Russia/Ukraine conflict. Brie asks Ken about his recent piece titled "Saudi-Russia Collusion is Driving Up Gas Prices -- And Worsening Ukraine Crisis" and asks Sirota about his recent coverage of how various interest groups are lobbying to avoid being touched by sanctions against Russia, while others advocate for more oil drilling at home. If the options are cuddling up with Russia, Saudi Arabia, or the green new deal, why aren't progressives beating energy-independence drum louder? Brie also asks the pair about the State of the Union, including Rashida Tlaib's response to Biden's remarks, and Pramila Jayapal's shady take on her speech.
