Bad Faith is two shows in one: it's a panel show about politics and pop culture with a rotating cast of performers and politicians, artists and activists, writers and radicals; and it's a two-way podcast where two people from two very different parts of the left make the case for one less terrible world.

Briahna Joy Gray (@briebriejoy) is a former attorney, National Press Secretary for the Bernie Sanders campaign, co-host of campaign podcast Hear The Bern, and a journalist who is early enough in her political career that she remains (tragically) sanguine.

Virgil Texas (@virgiltexas) is an internet user and co-host of Chapo Trap House.

When we scheduled an interview with historian & populism expert Thomas Frank, we didn't expect to be recording with a right wing faux-populist coup in the background. Turns out, he was an ideal guest. Frank helped us to understand our current political moment by examining history of populism in this country from the 1890s through the Bernie revolution. Over the course of two action packed  hours, the author of What's The Matter With Kansas, Listen Liberal, and The People, No explains how we got here and how we're most likely to get out of this mess. Virgil and Brie react in real time to the ongoing protests, Brie's groceries spoil, and Paul Robeson sings.
