Bad Faith is two shows in one: it's a panel show about politics and pop culture with a rotating cast of performers and politicians, artists and activists, writers and radicals; and it's a two-way podcast where two people from two very different parts of the left make the case for one less terrible world.

Briahna Joy Gray (@briebriejoy) is a former attorney, National Press Secretary for the Bernie Sanders campaign, co-host of campaign podcast Hear The Bern, and a journalist who is early enough in her political career that she remains (tragically) sanguine.

Virgil Texas (@virgiltexas) is an internet user and co-host of Chapo Trap House.

In this week's very special California episode, we talk Prop 22 and the Gavin Newsom recall with three very special guests. Cali guys Josh Olson and Dave Anthony don't just co-host The West Wing Thing podcast. They're a wealth of information about the Newsom recall effort and the very real threat posed by the leading Republican on the ballot -- Larry Elder (a villain straight out of central casting). But first, Brie picks the brain of Vice journalist Edward Ongweso Jr., who has been closely covering Prop 22, which was ruled unconstitutional early this week. What are the implications for gig workers in the state, and how do right wingers keep winning with regressive ballot initiatives (and Governors) in a state where Democrats out number Republicans two to one? We have fun with this one.
